Family law attorney Amy L. Shapiro protects what her clients value most – their family, their assets, and their financial future – and strives to be both professional and determined in her advocacy, as well as compassionate in her approach and clear in her counsel. She works to empower her clients as they move through the process of divorce and related matters. She has been a practicing family law attorney in Milwaukee for over 40 years, and has learned each client brings in their own distinct issues, values, and interests.
Education & Experience.
Attorney Shapiro has a J.D from Boston University School of Law and an undergraduate degree in philosophy from the University of Michigan. She has also been trained extensively in mediation and collaborative divorce. She is a past President and board member of the Leander J. Foley Jr. Matrimonial American Inns of Court and a member of the Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin. Her experience includes serving on various community boards and authoring several published articles on family law.

Trained extensively in various types of mediation, she uses her depth of experience in tailoring the process to the parties and their unique situations. She mediates with self-represented parties as well as providing mediation to parties who are represented by counsel and have reached impasse.
